The meaning/purpose of HOPE
H.O.P.E. (Helping Organizations & People Excel)
HOPE was what I held onto as my dad battled cancer.
HOPE is what kept me going even when I knew I would soon have to learn how to live in this world without my daddy.
HOPE is what is driving me to continue the VISION of SY even while going through grief.
HOPE is what I get to share with each and every one of you each and every day.
HOPE reminds me of my daddy.
HOPE reminds me of the good that still needs to be done.
HOPE makes me smile.
HOPE gives me purpose.
HOPE is a BLESSING that should be freely given with LOVE.
I started the annual HOPE Campaign in February 2017 after my dad passed away. The HOPE Campaign begins February through December of each year. Various fundraisers all fall under the umbrella of The HOPE Campaign (ex. Jar of HOPE, Wheel of HOPE, 5 HOPE Challenge just to name a few.)
The concept is to raise funds with unique and creative campaigns. These fundraisers assist SY to continue to support organizations that are too giving back. Through these fundraisers, SY has proven that when small amounts are put together, it can still make a big impact.
GREEN became SY’s signature color in the honor of The Late Mr. Robert J. Boswell (my father). GREEN is the color that represents Cholangiocarcinoma/Bile Duct Cancer which is one of the cancers that Mr. Boswell bravely battled. In others words, This is a PERSONAL and very IMPORTANT Vision of SY.
Beginning February 2022, The HOPE Campaign will also be in memory of Tamekia’s brothers, The Late Kevin Maurice Boswell and The Late Robert Lorenzo Boswell. So get ready beginning 2022 for new and exciting things from SY.
SY = HOPE
TAMEKIA = HOPE
“There is more GOOD to be DONE.”
